General Maintenance Technician

The Position

To proactively handle the upkeep and maintenance of all ByBox locations, (primarily Coventry), implementing a proactive maintenance schedule across the estate, identifying and actioning improvement to equipment and premises to prevent any deterioration in quality and Health & Safety of the sites and working environment.

Perform routine inspections of premises and equipment, annual PAT, maintain asset register, conduct risk assessments and complete permits to work as required. Interact with and manage the work provided by external contractors.

Working alongside Facilities and SHE(Q) to assure full compliance with standards established within the organisation and in conducting mandatory site checks. Support the day-to-day operational management of all aspects of the property to assure maintenance of approved quality standards and work with staff in the planning and organisation of internal and building to building moves. Liaising with various in-house support groups for moves (e.g., IT). Manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities.

Examples of general maintenance responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Changing Light bulbs / fittings
  • Rewiring, change fuses
  • Minor plumbing – unblocking toilets / drains
  • Moving of furniture or equipment
  • Assembling / constructing furniture
  • Carpentry work – Putting up shelves, signage
  • Gardening & outdoor work
  • Footpath Maintenance
  • Painting & decorating internal & external
  • Maintaining Floor markings
  • Repairing damaged cages / equipment
  • General Housekeeping

The Person

A minimum of two years’ experience performing routine maintenance and repair including electrical work and hold a full UK driving license.

Desirable qualifications include, City & Guilds PAT Testing, IPAF Certified (3a and 3b) and qualified electrician.

Project & Implementation Coordinator

The Position

To support the service delivery of projects and new customer implementations, providing exceptional support to new ByBox customers and the operational departments throughout the project implementation process. Support new customer implementation from sales, to planning, creating and implementing internal operations and processes, engaging with third party partners and suppliers, to ensure the most efficient and effective solutions.

Responsible for monitoring the operational process once live and checking for scope creep and finally, transition to BAU. To ensure all new customer SLAs are adhered to, from project phases to go live operational SLAs.

To check / oversee the completion of administrative routines that are crucial to the smooth running of the operation. Providing effective training and support for operational teams for new customers and their bespoke processes and production of internal and customer management information.

To assist in the coordination of projects on behalf of internal customers and to be an integral part of business growth across all ByBox service offerings. To introduce and maintain best practice in all areas of the customer implementation process.

The Person

A confident and effective communicator, able to interact effectively with operational teams. A structured and process driven individual who possesses the ability to demonstrate their own initiative, working effectively alone or as part of a team with an excellent customer focus.

Outstanding organisation skills with excellent documentation and presentation skills with an ability to facilitate meetings and workshops with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Experienced dealing directly with customers within a B2B environment, able to handle difficult customers and take ownership of problems until they are resolved. Excellent level of technical understanding of their current business area, with a robust understanding of ByBox services and solutions.

Hold a full driving license and have own transport and possess a good working knowledge of MS applications.

Desirable qualifications and experience include MS Project and PRINCE2 Foundation.

Technical Content Author

About the Job 

  • Own, develop and maintain the content of ByBox Software Product Catalogue / Portfolio, producing content suitable for both internal and external audiences.
  • Act as subject matter expert for all user-facing written content including documentation and micro copy.
  • Be embedded directly in development squads from the early stages of projects to understand the solution and to understand the documentation/training requirements of the end-users.
  • Produce appropriate technical content for the end-users of our software, including quick start guides, how-to videos and online help.
  • Understand the configuration and use-cases of the ByBox products to be self-reliant in producing appropriate content (such as screenshots, screencasts, videos etc.)
  • Drive the adoption of other techniques such as e-learning and online videos, or other media.
  • Guide the standardization of documentation and other content and help define our documentation strategy.
  • Gather feedback on the usability of content from internal and external customers, and regularly review content and processes to ensure best practices.
  • Collaborate with product owners to improve usability of the products.
  • Keep up-to-date with changing technologies, developments, and trends in the industry, attending training courses as necessary.
  • Work closely with other ByBox departments such as Marketing as needed.

About You
