We are looking for someone who wants to deliver something amazing. You will be enthusiastic (even geek-like) with great Full Stack development skills and understand development and how to do things properly. You will be joining an existing team of like-minded and talented home-working developers.

Primarily using Microsoft .NET, SQL Server technologies, and modern JavaScript libraries you will be responsible for the design and development of ByBox’s next generation of global supply chain solutions, involving mobile phone applications, embedded Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) systems and web-based administrative tools.

Your duties will include:

  • Design, build, test, implement and maintain software in close cooperation with a team of first class developers and other software professionals.
  • Manage own workload and deliverables, balancing the need to ship with the need for code quality.
  • Work both independently and part of project teams to deliver solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with support functions where required as part of maintenance and support of software.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience as a professional software developer.
  • Strong software development skills using the following technologies: .NET, Visual Studio, C#, SQL, SQL Server, NoSQL, Modern JavaScript libraries, Web Applications & Mobile Apps, Git or Mercurial
  • Practical experience of unit testing, integration testing and acceptance testing.
  • Practical experience of using design patterns.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

• Other Technologies such as: NServiceBus, EventStore, React, Xamarin, Cordova & SpecFlow.
• Software development skills using Enterprise Service Bus and message queuing technologies.
• Practical understanding of Test-Driven Development / Behaviour-Driven Development.
• Practical experience in Web APIs.

Electronic Product Design Engineer

BoBox has an excellent opportunity for an individual to join our dynamic company that is a world leader in field service logistics, technical services and a global innovator in locker based supply chain solutions.

As Electronic Product Design Engineer you will be responsible for developing the design specifications for new products by liaising with several internal departments, and you must be able to build good working relationships with internal stakeholders. Design of new products will be a primary responsibility, but you will also be responsible for future enhancements throughout the life of the product. You will be expected to identify and manage external partners in building successful products, and you will be responsible for not just the design but also the manufacturing product design process for all our electronic products.

In this role you will be a driving force for ByBox in electronic device production and will need to demonstrate initiative and ambition in delivering pioneering solutions. An in-depth knowledge of electronic design and re-design, electronic integration, test and fault resolution is imperative. A knowledge and enthusiasm for new technologies is also required (Bluetooth, 5G, serial comms etc) as well as proven project management experience. A knowledge of firmware programming, battery performance, and CAD design would be an advantage.

You will own the R&D for the existing and new electronic devices and improving ByBox’s Quality Assurance (QA) testing capability with a view to driving down cost and improving reliability; ByBox aims to provide revolutionary lockers that can operate reliably in all conditions with minimal support. This will be a challenging role, and you will need to solve complex problems involving interactions between the physical and electrical elements of the lockers
