ByBox announces the proposed acquisition of Pelipod

ByBox, a global field inventory management company based in the UK, today announces that it is acquiring Pelipod Ltd, a provider of secure collection points for field service engineers in the UK and wholly owned subsidiary of British Telecommunications plc, subject to regulatory review.

The addition of Pelipod’s estate of over 5,000 lockers in the UK to the ByBox network of over 42,000 will allow customers of the combined companies to access a wide network of secure collection points across the UK and enable Pelipod’s customers to harness the ByBox technology platform and innovative developments in field inventory management solutions. The acquisition follows a period of steady growth for ByBox, which has seen continued demand as businesses increasingly turn to field service to differentiate themselves in competitive markets.

Rich Agostinelli, CEO of ByBox commented:
“Over the years Pelipod have established a reputation for providing excellent service through their talented personnel and broad locker network. Joining forces with ByBox is the next logical step in their growth, as ByBox is solely focused on providing innovative, cost-effective inventory management solutions to its field service customers globally. I am thrilled that they will soon be joining us on this journey.”

Mark West, Pelipod Sales Director commented:
“We are pleased to be joining ByBox and we’re excited by the opportunities this acquisition brings. We’re extremely proud of what we’ve achieved over the last few years as we’ve worked to provide customers with the excellent services they deserve.”

Cyril Pourrat, BT Group’s Chief Procurement Officer, commented:
“Pelipod has played an important role in BT Group’s transformation over the past six years, supporting our supply chain modernisation programme. BT Group’s sale of Pelipod to ByBox, an industry leader, will help to further simplify our business while ensuring that BT Group retains a modern and robust supply chain to support our next generation network build projects. We remain focussed on extending our full-fibre broadband and 4G/5G mobile networks and on delivering the best service for our customers.”

This transaction is expected to complete in early 2023. No further details will be disclosed at this time.
