Welcome to our blog – set up specifically for our new alleycat buddies. We’re hoping you’ve landed here to find out about future alleycat and bike treasure hunts that our friends at the Oxford Cycling Workshop have organised in Oxford. But if you’ve just happened to stumble upon us – and you have a bike collecting some dust or you can’t get enough of hitting the road on your fixie – then there’s plenty of ways to get involved.
A little bit about ByBox and why we’re doing this. Working in and with ByBox is an adventure. We’re a group of people with a passion to revolutionise the way we send and receive parcels. An ordinary problem being solved by really rebellious people and a network of electronic dropboxes.
The dropboxes are like our checkpoints, we visit them every single night to pick up and deliver parcels into each box. Then we text our customers with their access codes so they can pick up their packages rather than waiting at home. (more…)
We deliver 20 million parcels a year into 20,000 dropboxes all over the UK. From Truro to Inverness to Belfast, and most towns in between. Sounds a bit boring compared to alleycat racing, but the country would be in a perfect pickle if we didn’t run our network, even for a couple of nights (have you ever wondered how engineers get their parts?).
